There were doubters out there thinking that MTV’s “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew” Season 3 would be hard to top.
That doubting has fallen by the wayside as Season 4 commenced its taping last night at the Warner Bros. Studio Lot in Burbank, Ca.
Among the diversity in crews included Southern Movement that consisted of the style the crew calls “Hick Hop.” Pacific Rim Video guest host Alex “BGirl Shorty” Welch of Season 3’s The Beat Freaks, was given a taste of that “Hick Hop” twist. From the Southern Movement, the diversity travelled to the neighborhood of Bronx, NY. If you can remember the time when Madonna told the world to “Vogue!” New York City has never stopped. With Vogue Evolution, this group brings to the ABDC stage a little more fierceness and flamboyance as the viewers will expect to see hand movement galore along with dips and levels.
For the lovers of the b-boy moves, viewers are not to despair as Massive Monkees out of Seattle, WA will keep that style from Season 3 winners Quest Crew achieved. Expect to see more flips and tricks and possibly more use of body and choreo moves from the b-boys of Seattle.
If you want to get full taste of what America’s Best Dance Crew has to offer for Season 4, then tune into MTV this coming Sunday, August 9, 2009. Check your local listings. For photos of the new crews in the garage of the ABDC set, go to http://pacificrimphotopress.com/gallery.php?gid=363
